What is Bulletproof Coffee?

Dave Asprey an American entrepreneur and author is the inventor of Bulletproof Coffee. This is also known as Butter coffee or KETO coffee.

Bullet coffee is a high-calorie beverage, mainly consumed for instant energy-boosting and to replace a carb-centric breakfast. It also has other health benefits. Made with a good fat like MCT oil or cold-pressed coconut/olive oil and grass-fed butter along with organic coffee bean powder.

Adding good fat helps to cut down or to burn unwanted stored body fat. Because of that, Bulletproof Coffee is quite famous among people all over the world, who attempt the KETOGENIC diet.

When and how to take Bullet coffee?

I usually consume Bulletproof coffee as my breakfast when I do dieting.

On diet days, I start my morning with a glass of apple cider vinegar and Himalayan pink salt mixed with water. After having it, I wait for almost 30 minutes.

Then I do my breakfast with a full mug of this coffee. Some days I take 1 egg along with the coffee and other days I skip eggs, just a mug of this amazing coffee.

Sometimes I take another cup of coffee in the afternoon along with some roasted peanuts. What a delicious and healthy snack combination! Isn’t it?

It’s not compulsory that you have to take Bullet coffee every day while dieting, or you can only take this coffee during the KETO dieting phase.

Actually, you can take this coffee whenever you need to boost your energy or just if you are feeling like having it. But to get an effective result and to reduce some weight you can follow my procedure as well.

What does Bullet coffee taste like?

Do you like cream latte coffee? I do. This coffee has alike taste but is better and healthier.

The key to having a tasty and perfect cup of bullet coffee is to blend it properly. The right amount of blending gives this coffee a rich creamy taste. Moreover, you will get some froth on top which add to the taste.

Can Bullet Coffee be made without a Mixer Blender?

Typically people make Bullet coffee using an electric blender. I also used to do the same. But ever since I have discovered the non-electric hand mixer, I occasionally use that giant blender.

Using a hand mixer is so handy and needs low maintenance. Though if you want perfection and authentic taste, go for a regular mixer blender.

If you don’t mix all the ingredients properly, you will be unable to get creamy and frothy Bullet coffee, instead of just a cup of coffee with some floating fat on top.

So, I will suggest you use an electric mixer blender as a beginner.

What are the Healthy Fat options while making Bulletproof Coffee?

  1. MCT oil (Medium-chain triglycerides): It is an easy-to-digest fat that absorbs into our bloodstream quickly and then turns into energy.
  2. Cold-pressed coconut/olive oil: Cold-pressed oil is made without any heat. These oils have higher levels of antioxidants than refined oils.
  3. Grass-fed butter: It is a source of good fat and gives a creamy rich taste and texture to the coffee.

These 3 fats are my top choice. But if these facts don’t work for you, can also go for unsweetened nut butter. Like peanut butter, almond butter, cashew butter, etc. Instead of butter, we can use ghee or clarified butter as well.
