Equipment

  • Microwave-proof glass cake dish
  • Electric microwave oven
  • Hand whisk
  • Egg breaker tool
  • Air-tight food store box (glass)

Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 6 Eggs room temperature
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Powdered milk
  • 1 cup Cooking/vegetable oil

Garnishing ingredients

  • Heavy cream
  • Icing sugar
  • Ice cream
  • Liquid chocolate

Instructions

  • At first, take 1 cup of full cream milk powder and 1 cup of cooking oil in a nonstick cooking pot. Mix them with the help of a spatula.
  • This step is very crucial. After mixing, turn on the stove and keep the heat at a medium level. You have to stir the mixture continuously with a spatula to avoid burning. Keep stirring for almost 8 to 10 minutes, until it turns into darkish brown color. Turn off the heat and immediately remove the pot from the stove. Even after turning off the heat, keep stirring the mixture. Otherwise, it may become too dark in color and bitter in taste.
  • Let that milk mixture chill down, and proceed to make the egg mixture. Crackdown 6 eggs in a big bowl. Then add 1 cup of sugar. Give a good mix until the sugar melts down. You can use a hand whisk for mixing. No need to use an electric beater or so.
  • Now it’s time to combine the milk and egg mixtures together. Pour the egg mixture into the milk mixture. Start mixing with the cut and fold technique, then gradually mix with normal motion with the help of a spatula. It would be best if you follow the video tutorial/recipe video which has provided below.
  • Here comes the final and the most important step. Transfer the cake batter into a microwave-proof bowl (brush the bowl with a little bit of melted butter or clarified butter/ghee but don’t dust it with flour). Tap it 2 to 3 times to eliminate air bubbles. Put the bowl in the Microwave oven. Set timer for 6 minutes at medium temperature. After good 6 minutes, check the cake with a knife. If the knife comes out clean, your cake is ready. Otherwise, keep the cake in the oven for another minute.
  • After 6 to 7 minutes the cake will be ready to serve. You can also keep Lulu cake in the refrigerator to chill it down. Serve this cake with heavy cream or ice cream, or enjoy it as it is.
