  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  • Add Garlic and Ginger: Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, and black pepper. Pour the sauce over the beef and stir well.
  • Simmer and Thicken: Let the beef mixture simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
  • Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and mix in chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve over warm white rice with optional toppings.

Notes

  1. Use Fresh Ingredients: Fresh garlic and ginger add a deep, authentic flavor.
  2. Adjust Spice Level: Reduce or increase red pepper flakes based on your heat preference.
  3. Don’t Overcrowd the Pan: Cook the beef in batches if necessary to ensure even browning.
  4. Serve with Variety: Try different sides like kimchi, steamed veggies, or a fried egg for added richness.
