Ingredients

  • 1 cup cucumber finely chopped
  • 1 cup tomato finely chopped
  • ½ cup red onion finely chopped
  • 1 green chili finely chopped (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • Juice of 1 lemon or lime
  • Salt to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  • Optional: pinch of black pepper or chaat masala

Instructions

  • Wash all the vegetables thoroughly and pat them dry.
  • Peel the cucumber if needed, then finely chop cucumber, tomato, and red onion.
  • Chop green chili and fresh coriander leaves.
  • Add all chopped ingredients to a mixing bowl.
  • Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the vegetables.
  • Sprinkle salt, roasted cumin powder, and mix everything well.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning or add chaat masala for extra flavor.
  • Serve immediately or chill for 10–15 minutes for a colder salad.
