Ingredients

  • 4 ripe but firm peaches halved and pitted
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter for brushing
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup optional
  • 1 tsp cinnamon optional
  • Vanilla ice cream for serving
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375–400°F). If using a grill pan, place it over medium heat.
  • Prepare the peaches by cutting them in half and removing the pits. Leave the skin on.
  • Brush the cut sides of the peaches lightly with olive oil or melted butter. This helps prevent sticking and enhances flavor.
  • Grill the peaches cut-side down for 4–5 minutes or until grill marks appear and the fruit softens slightly. Flip and grill the skin side for another 2–3 minutes.
  • Drizzle with honey or maple syrup (if using) and a sprinkle of cinnamon while still warm.
  • Serve immediately, placing each peach half in a bowl with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. Garnish with mint if desired.

Notes

  • Use firm peaches: Overripe ones will get too mushy on the grill.
  • Don’t skip the oil: It helps achieve those beautiful grill marks and adds flavor.
  • Serve immediately: The contrast of hot peaches and cold ice cream is the highlight!
  • Try flavor twists: Add a splash of bourbon or sprinkle with chopped nuts for an extra layer of taste.
