Ingredients
4ripe but firm peacheshalved and pitted
1tbspolive oil or melted butterfor brushing
2tbsphoney or maple syrupoptional
1tspcinnamonoptional
Vanilla ice creamfor serving
Fresh mint leavesfor garnish (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375–400°F). If using a grill pan, place it over medium heat.
Prepare the peaches by cutting them in half and removing the pits. Leave the skin on.
Brush the cut sides of the peaches lightly with olive oil or melted butter. This helps prevent sticking and enhances flavor.
Grill the peaches cut-side down for 4–5 minutes or until grill marks appear and the fruit softens slightly. Flip and grill the skin side for another 2–3 minutes.
Drizzle with honey or maple syrup (if using) and a sprinkle of cinnamon while still warm.
Serve immediately, placing each peach half in a bowl with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. Garnish with mint if desired.
Notes
Use firm peaches: Overripe ones will get too mushy on the grill.
Don’t skip the oil: It helps achieve those beautiful grill marks and adds flavor.
Serve immediately: The contrast of hot peaches and cold ice cream is the highlight!
Try flavor twists: Add a splash of bourbon or sprinkle with chopped nuts for an extra layer of taste.
